Tyler Brown

Tyler Brown joined GW&S as an associate attorney in October of 2021. Tyler’s practice focuses on public and private-sector labor law and ERISA benefit fund administration and compliance. He has also represented clients in unemployment hearings in front of the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training. Tyler graduated law school from Boston College Law School in 2019 and is licensed to practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Tyler is also a member of the leadership team of Reclaim RI, a statewide advocacy organization. He led the organization’s efforts to pass equitable and just recreational cannabis legislation, including the incorporation of union protections for cannabis workers, licenses for social equity applicants and worker-owned cooperatives, and automatic expungement of cannabis-related offenses from criminal records.

In March of 2023, Tyler presented on the topic of unionized cannabis cooperatives at the Building Worker Power Conference at U-Mass Amherst.
